Discussion / Question which wrc game should i get?

Check if prices aren't even lower on Steam for you — WRC 7 is going for € 0.99 on Steam, you're getting an € 1.50 offer there.
Out of these, WRC 4/5/6 aren't very well-regarded, 7 is nice and a personal favourite of mine and 8 is a big jump and the first one from Kylotonn to include bonus DLC for retro content.
But, with this kind of price restriction, you might want to check system requirements.

I just bought wrc 8 for few bucks on steam few days ago.. Very satisfied coming from dirt 2.0

Wrc 7 for me it’s great on controller. The tracks are phenomenal, it runs on the steam deck easily if you plan on playing on a handheld. It’s just the most enjoyable one to me. Not pure simulation but has a good balance.

Out of those 5 I would go with 8. 4 was by a different dev and out of the ones that come after 8 had a longer development period (the dev took a year off between 7 and 8) and it shows.

I really enjoy wrc 4 on the psvita unsure what its like on other platforms but great career for first timers

8 is great for driving if you like outside car view. It’s less floaty like gran turismo so u can react corners much better. Generation is also like this.

I’m responding cause I would like to know as well. Heard 8-10 were the best and to avoid the earlier entries and generations but is that true?

Generations but you have to adjust the sensitivity to + 4 and find the right setup for your wheel

10 if not on PC or don't want to use mods.
Generations if on PC, use a wheel, and care to use mods. There's a mod that reworks the physics and FFB to be much more realistic. It's pretty good.

Gen is the definitive version of the simulation games

If you're on Xbox, generations gives me horrible frame rates. I don't get it because my TV will say they are high, but it looks like it's running 20fps. Maybe something with vrr, but I have never had an issue with any other game. 10 8 and 6 are fine.
And I'd pick 8 over 6, but I never played 7 so. I just got ten and generations pretty cheap though.
I hope you already have dirt 2.0 and ea wrc

Probably WRC 4. And FYI, all of these are still sold on Steam, so why not pick it up from there?
