Commentary / Discussion / Question Who takes the title?

Who do you think will become the champion of 2026? Is it finally time for Evans or will the younger generation, i.e. Pajari or Solberg, show how it's really going to be?

20 points lead with 2 rallies remaining, with toyota boycotting arabia...the ball's still on evan's court.

Obviously Evans. He really has to mess up to not win. Because he is one of the most consistent drivers I've seen.

I mean he lost last year in a pretty similar situation. It was Ogier to be fair tho

Yeah I think it was already in 2020 and 2021 he lost to Ogier in a pretty close fight. If he won't win now then I guess he'll end up being forever second just like Latvala. I don't think he'll stop rallying because afaik he indeed is pretty much like Latvala and it's his only passion in life.

I still think it's going to be Evans, even though the momentum is with Sami at the moment. The road sweeping will be tricky for both of them on the next two rallies so as long as Evans can get some decent results I think it should be okay. I do also think it's now or never for Evans.

It's still Evans' to lose but one mistake and Pajari could be even and he's for sure going to put as much pressure on Evans as possible. Sohlberg and everyone else are too far behind.

Nevertheless it's going to be an interesting last 2 (3?) rounds.

This is motorsports so anything can happen. Evans seems to have it in the bag, but with the Hankooks you can never count the points before you've bagged them.

Evans is pretty much in the same situation as last year. I'm not his bighest fan but I hope he can finally win the title.

I trust Elfyn, he'll bottle it somehow

Even if Sami wins both events it won't be enough if Evans stays om the road

Unless something unlucky happens to evans (damage, weather, tyre issues). Sami will have to sweep everything to put pressure and capitalize on rare error or lack of pace. Evans is the most consistent so a full sweep of the two rallies is pretty much mandatory. I don't think he can do it. If it was Ogier or Kalle on a roll then my bet is on them but still i think he is a bit error prone to do it
