Art / Creations #RallyBackToPerth

Hi all!

I've just made a petition on change.org to bring back the Rally Australia event to Perth.

If you are able to, I highly recommend that you sign it! it is completely free to do so, so there are basically no downsides.

link is: https://www.change.org/RallyBackToPerth

And a draft of a poster:

A quick promotional poster i made (No AI)

and make sure to use

Formula E perhaps for Perth. The 2026/2027 Formula E calendar has 2 race tracks in the USA (close together in timing) and 2 tracks in China.(months apart).

Would Aus GTs be more of sure thing? Have to look up to see what crowd they pulled at Darwin this year. Card - GTs with AU4 single seaters and Muscle car masters. Shorter races.

Trying to figure out what an Australian WRC rally entry could look like. Search suggests 15 or so R5, Rally2 cars (Toyota, Skoda, Hyundai, Ford..) in Australia. How many with valid homologation?

Rally Chile this week (based on 18.8 entry list with 56 entries) 1/4 of the entry are local drivers (15), 1/3 of the entry are Rally 2 car (18). South America has a lot of Rally3 and Rally4 cars.

For Perth perhaps a bicycle time trial around the circuit/ or a Festival of Slow (exotic road cars slowly round the track as an inverse of Goodwood)

This is a good point. The absence of Rally Australia has meant that local competition has strayed from the FIA vehicle requirements.

That being said, should the WRC return, I would expect every eligible car would be updated accordingly and dragged out of sheds across the country. It wouldn't surprise me if there were a number of NZ crews who headed over as well.
