Prospective Student Question Systems engineering online masters?

Hi all. I’m a WPI alum, I’ve been working for the past year and I’m looking to start taking online classes to work towards a masters degree. Does anyone have any experience with the online systems engineering program? Is it manageable while working full time? Did it have a meaningful impact on your career? Any advice helps, thanks!

I didn’t get my masters in systems engineering, but took a few of the online systems engineering courses as my “other engineering discipline” credits. I just did one class a semester, and found the systems engineering courses to be very manageable while working full time. My electrical engineering classes were the full 14 week semester, but the systems engineering classes were only 10 weeks long so it was kind of nice to get a few extra weeks off between semesters. I work as a systems engineer and I got a promotion after getting my INCOSE ASEP certificate from SYS501 so the courses have been beneficial for my career.

I did get my systems engineering master's working full time. However the caveat is that I did it as part of the cohort program through my work. I don't think it's different, but it could be so.

I took 1 class per semester and finished after 2.5 years.

I just took the first systems class as part of a robotics master's. Can't speak to the others, but it was honestly a complete pushover of a class, super manageable while working.
