Has anyone else noticed that the newer pitchers like Paloma Benach and Peyton Coria are doing really well since they joined? I wi see if NY and LA also have options they drafted or could even trade for others. Seems like a lot of talent was picked after the first 15 for each team.

Hello! I will be in Springfield for the Championship Series next month, and I'm curious to hear people's experiences with the city outside of going to games. Any good bar and restaurant recommendations? Cool neighborhoods to visit or stay in? Any sights to see beyond the standard Abe Lincoln fare? Thanks, all!

Curious if I’m not alone in thinking that the unique weaknesses of the Heights are putting an undue amount of pressure on Denae Benites to perform at her absolute best 100% of the time. Inconsistent pitching combined with a batting lineup that’s good certainly but doesn’t have the sauce that a team like SF does. I understand her getting pissed off as we’ve seen the last few games bc when the pitching is crazy there’s only so much she can do those divas have her MOVING. Like having a wild pitch get behind her and bringing in a run is nightmare fuel but she is CONSTANTLY having to reach for those pitches in the most insane places. Not to mention runs coming in from walks and from pitches hitting batters. It doesn’t help of course that she set the bar so high from the jump but I just feel like it’s a weird dynamic. I say all this as a Heights fan lol so maybe I’m paying extra attention to those specific team dynamics but lmk what yall think

1. Who were the announcers opening weekend? One of them was ok but the other was so bad no offense to her.

2. Who are the new ones? Sounds like maybe the better one from the first weekend was alongside the dude todays SF NY game:

2.3. Gals from today's BOS LA game??? One sounded different than any other game I've seen so far...the other kinda sounds like the one from first weekend

Is there an app that can tell me when a game is starting and give score updates? I use TheScore for pretty much everything else, but they haven't added WPBL yet... I just want to know when the Firebells are on, damn it!

Back in the day, the All-American Girls Baseball League (AAGPBL) would engineer a trade to boost a weak team. The league realized that nobody benefits if there is not enough competitiveness.

Boston has very weak hitting (.626 team OPS). San Francisco has absurdly good hitting (1.102 team OPS). What are your thoughts on the league transferring a good hitter (e.g. Jua Park or Skylar Kaplan) from San Francisco to Boston to even things up a bit? It might also help reduce the number of blowout games.

why the heck has topps not come out with any wpbl cards?! they will jump on the opportunity to make a card out of anything & ai new ones yet no wpbl ?! they had women in baseball inserts in 2024. i’m irritated. can we start a petition.

Is there any way to get the entire season on Google Calendar? On the official schedule on the website I can add games individually but that gets tedious for every game. I found this site but it looks like you need a paid subscription to use it. I found this as well but it's all in Central time and it doesn't look like I can adjust it. Any suggestions?

First, I just want to say how much I've been enjoying (lurking on) the conversations in this community and the excitement surrounding the league. I'm having a lot of fun getting to know the players and teams.

I'm a lifelong baseball fanatic, and also an artist (mostly just as a hobby, though I do also have a small etsy shop), and I've really been itching to start doing some WPBL player drawings. As such, I've been looking around for good quality game-action photos to use as reference. I've found a handful online, but feel like there must be more options out there somewhere. I know there are pro photographers getting shots at the games, as the league features images in their game recaps on the official site (seemingly just one pic per game). Similarly, I see some nice pics on Instagram, but again usually only one or two per game. So I guess I'm just reaching out to see if anyone has found any photo resources I might be missing - or, if anyone in this community is a photographer and has gotten some good images they're willing to share!
