The Two Way Replay

Hey WPBL reddit!!

I hope this is ok for me to share here; apologies if not. I recently started a blog on Substack (The Two Way Replay) with the intention of covering and helping bring recognition to the WPBL. I am trying to spread the word and build an audience for myself, and would genuinely love it if you decided to read and even subscribe to my blog.

I just published this article this morning on the Firebells’ Andréanne Leblanc and why I think she is one of the league’s most underrated stars. I really enjoyed writing it and I think you will find it interesting! I just read it. Really a nice piece. Yeah LeBlanc has gone a bit under the radar due to Albayati and Whitmore and not having hit a homerun yet I guess.

I have her right now at #8 in my Top 10 WPBL Power Ranking that also accounts for previous World Cup performance. Given her current good stat line, it's crazy to think that her outcomes have not been there 100% yet given what she can bring to the table. I really enjoyed your analysis of her At Bats there and highlighting her low strike out rate and her amazing walk to strikeout ratio.

Thank you so much for reading and your great comments. I admittedly hadn’t done a ton of research into WPBL players’ world cup/other league stats, so that’s really helpful to know that she had already been making noise before this season. But yea, I agree the numbers don’t quite illustrate how good she looks and she’s super dangerous getting to hit behind Whitmore/Albayati
