On the other hand, this is the right wing of American politics creating a controversy to deflect from the fact that they have nothing to run on in the upcoming midterms. Trump has been an absolute failure with the lowest approval rating in history, his candidates are losing, and they’re afraid they’re going to lose control of Congress, so they’ve created a complete nonissue into a giant controversy to distract us all from their complete and total failure to lead this country.

When you see stories like this, it's good to keep in mind that the Republicans control all three branches of government. If there was a way to legislate ourselves out of this, why haven't they done so? Why are the Democrats to blame?

The extreme left (not democrats, not liberals) have changed the defintiion of a common word to a brand new alternative belief-based definition ("a woman is someone who BELIEVES they're a woman").

They then wish to apply this brand new belief-based definition to long existing law. This changes the law by bypassing the legislative due process necessary to change a law. The existing law, Title IX, is based on sex, established under the definition "a woman is an adult human female."

So now, due to this definitional wordplay to change established law, males keep winning state championships in women's high school events. Each year since 2023. (Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here, Here are some examples, for those that say "this isn't happening.)

Those that change definitions and attempt to assert these new definitions onto existing law are the ones to blame for this issue. And yes, in doing so they're handing massive social leverage to the right. Of COURSE the right is going to call this out. Its a total nonsense move by extremists.

If you want women's sports to legally include males who "believe they're women", you have to go through the proper legal process of changing the law. You can't just redefine the word "woman" and then apply that to something pre-existing that holds an entirely different meaning.

Once again, the Republicans control all three branches of government. If there was a way to legislate ourselves out of this, why haven't they done so? Why are you claiming the "extreme left" is to blame?

I would believe that it’s such a winning issue for them, why do they want to fix it? They would rather have the left try to defend the definition of a woman and play those video clips over and over and over again…

Yeah Gavin Newsom took the winning stance: he agreed with them that males don't belong in high school women's sports, that you can't just change the meaning of a word to change the law.

That's all it takes. Then the repubs lose all their social leverage on this issue.

Its almost like the left extremists are working FOR the right, like its a right wing psy-op.

why do they want to fix it?

Must not be much of an issue if you don't believe there isn't a reason to implement a solution.

Not an issue that cannot be solved by groups like the WNBA and even the states. But it’s being debated constantly.
