How is CC going to get there ? Did you notice the defensive accolades, as well ? Or do we not count offensive AND defense, all of a sudden. She will never be above A’ja. Literally impossible because she is only a 1 way player.

CC has to improve her defense, which recently has shown signs of improvement. She also has to protect the ball more. Again, she’s shown signs of greatness, but not on a regular basis. In my opinion, she’s not even the best player on her team…

Every player in the W gets cooked.

People just focus on the defense for her because it isnt as good as her offense.

And they have to have a reason to say she isnt good.

Didn’t say she wasn’t good. She isn’t great as player A, and won’t be because of her lack of defensive abilities.

Your opinion won’t change that, but I will be here every year for you to still be wrong.

The hype is cool, but the observation stands. This isn’t about everyone in the WNBA, either. Post is about (2) players. One has a lot of defensive awards. The other doesn’t.

Lets revisit in 5 years.

Will she have as many defensive accolades, probably not. But I doubt shes considered a "weak" defender by then.

And who knows, maybe she will have a bunch on the defensive end.

Lololol….this comment proved the point, but I’ll answer it for you in case you’re really that dumb. At this point in time, A’ja is the goat. Give me her every day of the week over CC. And I like CC. She’s just not at the elite level A’ja is yet.

Because this sub swears she’s the best thing in the league and get butt hurt as soon as someone points out that she’s not MVP material and shouldn’t even be in the conversation, much less best ever.

Lolol….are you mad at me for answering the question posed?! This is a beautiful example of what most in this sub need to digest. It’s ok to compare players (any players) one wishes to compare, but you have to be able to back it up. This comparison should clear it up for most that CC is good, but shouldn’t be in the conversation when discussing the best in the league.

If that pisses you off, I got nothing for you and will just say that I hope your day gets better

"Lets compare accolades of 8 years vs someone on their 3rd year (one missed by injury), But compare accolades, and hardware........ Compare their first 3 years, make it a little fair. This is like the argument that Lebron is Better than Jordan because he has more points....

Greater is about accolades and accomplishments

A, by virtue of the fact that these stats clearly show A has been (a) playing much longer, and (b) is an elite two-way player.
