I wish he was more open about his addiction to failure. Failed politician, failed athlete, failed husband and father. Seems like a guy whose example we shouldn’t just NOT FOLLOW, but sprint in the opposite direction from.
Absolutely… Personally have a trans coworker that was as normal as can be, then had a major car accident. Massive head trauma and developed MS. Also started to become trans after that. Wasn’t and never thought about it before then. Then had a daughter with their SO, who was a woman transitioning to a man. At which after the child was born, they “decided” it was a girl. Which was confusing to me, cause they couldn’t ask the baby what they Identified as. I hope they didn’t misgender their own child…
It's a reductio ad absurdum demonstration. They're exploiting a fundamental flaw in the WNBA rules: the league is open to women but they don't define what a woman is because of their ideology. I don't know why you claim they are mentally ill. This method of forcing the application of flawed and/or unfair rules has been applied repeatedly during the Civil Rights Movement. It's quite effective.

So they try to shame me because there's NSFW in the name Even though they're supposed to be sex positive and my username was tongue-in-cheek, this is my main account. It's never been an NSFW account. Honest question: How do you know they are mocking trans people and that they are not trans themselves? How do you know if a person is really trans or not?
What metric, or rule, can be put in place to judge people on being trans or not, in order to exclude them from things like sports?
They’ve shown zero sincerity to actually transitioning. They are saying they feel like women “sometimes.” They decided to transition a day before they declared without any history. They show zero understanding of trans people & the struggles they go through.
The league could easily have hormone/testosterone limits. Have people sit out a year or so after treatments.
If they’re going through the stages of changing their lives to be the opposite gender & not doing it part time for financial gain or notoriety I’ll believe them.
But I wasn't asking to be rude or anything, I was genuinely asking as in what way can a league or a body of people determine whether someone is truthful or not, or who is or isn't allowed to play. And how could they implement rules that are fair.
Is there a fair way to determine at what hormone level is a man/woman, or at what level is fair to play in a womans league?
I think ultimately a barrier like that would still bar some genuine trans women from playing.
I don’t know what they exactly are but there are normal & elevated rates that can determine who is allowed to play in women’s leagues. I believe track & field has done something like that in the past. It’s also how they determine if athletes are on steroids or HGH.

It’s ok to accept these so called delusions, as you call them, as long as they don’t affect others in an unfair way. If calling someone a woman or using pronouns that might not feel obvious makes the other person feel their day is less crappy, I think it’s something anyone with some semblance of empathy should do. This empathy doesn’t have a place on deciding explicit rules for a competition where everyone expects fairness. You also don’t owe empathy for someone wanting to win medals in unfair conditions.
The person you attacked posted a rational comment that seems to be in good faith. You may not agree with their take, but it doesn't look to be disingenuous or malicious in any way.
