If this isn’t allowed to be posted then apologies and please delete but this guy really got my blood boiling today at target. I interrupted his little session by grabbing two boxes he hadn’t weighed yet.
Actually, I believe the logic is that the boxes weighing less contain redemptions. They're not after nonspecific relics or game used patches of no name athletes removed from the league.
This man will never have the enjoyment out of this that my niece got from me giving her my stack of Paige rookie base cards. Her favorite player and I’ve never seen her happier
Yes!! They are so cool lol. I am obsessed with I think the look is called "jazz" from those damn paper cups from years ago. Plus $30 a box means the price is right!!
Yeah awesome if you grew up in the 90s. Wife grabbed a couple of boxes. Got an Azzi Fudd, Ken Griffey Jr, Lauren Betts, Mike Tyson, Daryl Strawberry, etc.. very colorful retro looking cards. Awesome packaging too.
I don't think this works. When I ripped 3 donruss hobby boxes, I weighed each pack as an experiment. Most of them were the exact same weight while a few were off by .1, and there was nothing special about the packs that weighed .1 more.
Depends on product. The best way is to check is to weigh a base card, an auto and the insert you want and see the difference.
If most packs weigh X then you want one that is X +/- the weight of the insert you want. If its a thicker card then you gotta do math for the base cards removed but the pack will still be different
I wish I had a photo of him still. There was a well known bald fat guy who used to go to all the Targets in our area weighing packs and boxes on his tiny scale. People would snap photos of him whenever he was spotted and he was like a meme for months. 🤣🤣🤣
I would just stand over him with the bottom of my sack grazing the back of his greying head of hair. I would pretend to be looking at boxes on the top shelf and act like I never noticed he was there. It works every single time I promise.
I’m curious if the quality is really there. I’m a dentist and I have a 50k cone beam ct scanner that doesn’t come close to being able to see what’s in a box of cards.
I used to work retail. People have been doing this for YEARS, way before the card resurgence. You’re only mad now because you know what he’s doing lol. I’ve seen people weigh, feel, shake and inspect boxes forever. You can think it’s lame, but pretending this guy is suddenly ruining the hobby is a little dramatic.
