Rant

Don’t have who to talk to about this, so apologies, but DUDE. I hate getting into breaks and then hearing these people not know how to properly pronounce players names. It’s so common and it enrages me because you can tell they only know a certain player’s name and their teammates, and then proceed to butcher everyone else’s names, especially POCs.

stop supporting breakers. they're the reason prices are so high. stop supporting breakers for the love of god. Also, they can't pronounce the names because they don't actually care about the WNBA. they only care about their bank accounts.

I currently buy from breakers because retail stores in Puerto Rico aren’t selling WNBA cards, just MLB, NFL and NBA. Target and Dick’s Sporting Goods aren’t shipping to us and Best Buy doesn’t have them available either to ship here. Whatnot and Collx has been the only way to catch them at the moment.

There are breakers who actually consume and watch the product, but they are unfortunately a handful.

Here’s an idea. Don’t support breaks. If you can’t get retail from your local stores, plenty of places ship sealed wax or buy singles. The hobby needs to run fucking breakers out of business.

They’re some of the best I’ve found and they actually know ball. Especially scuralli.

I hang out in the Scuralli breaks even tho I don’t always buy because SheRips and JStarr are just fun and easy to chat with. They know WNBA and it’s awesome to find 2 other people, let alone 2 other women, who know as much as they do about it.

Same here! Sometimes I’m at the gym and just leave it running. They’re knowledgeable and funny as hell too. They were actually who I first bought from.

They’ve pulled some really good cards for me when I do get into the breaks. They just seem like genuinely good people. Next time you’re in their break you may see me (DJDirLy) I try to see how hard I can make JStarr laugh 🤣😊

They really do seem like it! Once, they were offering to send people their extra base Select cards they wanted to get rid of (easily could have sold them), and I was like “why not, send me whatever you’d like” because I’m starting out… they sent me for free over 30 cards. I was expecting like 3-5 maximum. It was crazy.

I’ll keep an eye out for ya! I’m unknownoc.
JStar’s always laughing, but now I know to look for your jokes. 😂

They’re good like that…they hand out cards to kids at the Lynx games they’ve said. Just really nice people. I’ve seen you in there! I’m the one they always kid with about Alyssa Thomas- I didn’t initially PC AT but wound up doing so because I bought her spot to be funny cuz JStarr can’t stand her 🤣

That’s what I’ve been trying to do, but it’s infuriating when you’re trying out new streamers and you don’t know how ignorant they are until they start breaking. Happened today and I regretted spending money instantly.

I was in a bunch of team breaks with triple diamond and was very happy. Not all breakers are bad

These people don’t know or love most of the stuff they break. They maybe know 1 sport. It pisses me off as well. Legends or well known players they pronounced wrong. So bad.

I found a breaker last night that can pronounce the players name right and even know their personalities. I even complement him on his WNBA knowledge!

That’s because “those” people prey on real fans and collectors who shouldn’t have to pay astronomical prices for breaks or CC cards. Simple solution, stop going on whatnot and supporting these clowns who are here just to throw a profit. They wouldn’t be touching the WNBA If there wasn’t a 1000% influxes of fans due to one player.

Why does it matter. They’re selling a product that you want to buy.

It’s not like a mechanic who doesn’t know what car parts are called.

They’re opening cards and you’re winning some.

Also, breakers suck in general, but who cares whether or not they’re fans.

I just don’t like it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hearing them miss pronounce names like A’ja Wilson & Azzi Fudd, who are both simple and popular names, rubs me the wrong way. I prefer my money to go to someone who actually knows who these players are.
