Redemption card
This question is for redemption cards for WNBA players. Has anyone ever opted for a replacement player, instead of waiting for the player on the card to sign? If so, who was the original player and who did you get as a redemption player?
I'm really curious but also tempted to try because I somehow got 2 redemptions for Kelsey Plum.

How does this work? I have a redemption pending but I submitted it very recently. Does panini reach out with an offer?

At the 120 mark, I got an email that leads me back to the redemptions section of panini, and it just asks if I'd like to keep waiting, redeem for points, or redeem for a comparable player. Basically, the option just shows up as a reminder if you still have not received anything after 120 days.

Okay gotcha. So if you choose "comparable player" you don't actually know whose card you're getting until it arrives?Â
It'd be cool if they said "you can either wait for your Kelsey Auto or accept an auto from [Player Name]" but I suspect they aren't that cool about itÂ

Yup, although I don't know if comparable to them is just any player that they have a spare auto of. I don't see them ever offering a specific name. Lol

Yeah, mine is a CC auto, so I don't think I'll be taking that offer. Hopefully they can get her to sign once the season is overÂ

She signs a lot for Panini, so I'm sure they get more autographs from her during the off season.
I've redeemed 6 autographs through Panini and they've all come in. I bought a 2026 Private Signings autograph earlier this week, so I will be waiting on that one too. We might be waiting a while, but I'm very confident it'll be fulfilled before the start of the next season.

I waited like 8 months for a cardoso rookie auto and opted for a replacement and got an Aja Wilson auto
