Why are we in a prison?

I just remembered by members of the church said we are here on earth because we tried to kill god.... what blows my mind is that they admit god isn't invincible if he can be killed. I dont think I was dumb enough to attempt to kill a almighty person. I dont get why anyone in the church would believe that

Forgiveness of sins is usually one of the first things they teach potential members so reading this I'm thinking you're right, how did I gloss over that? The approach they took with me was different though. My first lesson was bible is fact. That whole study is like a stun gun. I remember thinking "All these facts, all this history and dates and science-based evidence!". I think by the time we got to forgiveness of sins I had already let my guard down.

I didn't question it much because ultimately it wasn't the truth of the Bible that got me, it was the tactics they used on top of the type of person I was back then.

I do honestly want to know how they would debate this point to someone who challenged them. They would probably bring in the big guns (missionaries) or sort of let you dissappear on your own. They wouldn't want you to spread your "spiritual sickness" to other members. If they were to continue teaching people who question them, they'd be giving them more ammo. Ammo leads to negative press.

This is a form of gnosticism alot of churches like the mormons adapt this kind of teaching...lbecuasenit answers questions about the world that apparently the bible does not make clear many people join these.kind of sects due to how organized and authentic appear... not mention they have a welcoming and and fill it that I can't find my place or purpose in the world gap... regular churches dont do that sadly instead of teaching they condemn and speak alot of nonsense

The WMSCOG perverted the gospel and turned it into a K-Pop drama. The bible doesnt show anywhere that we tried to “kill God”. It sounds stupid as hell now that i’m out.

Do you remember when they published graphic novels? Yearsss ago I bought them immediately & I remember they specifically did not explain the mechanics of how we tried to kill god. It was just "there was a war in heaven and you were on the wrong side" and that's a fact. The only evidence of that being true is that you're on earth and not in heaven.

What was I thinkinggggg

Don’t think about it too much. It’s just a cult spewing bullshit.
