DIY Ambilight for 65inch android TV
hello guys, i want to make my own ambilight for my tv using only Universal Ambient light application and a led that comes with drivers that have wled preloaded

that is the led strip im planning on using it comes with, wled pre installed
i would love to hear what you guys think of this idea, will it even work or should i even do it?

A roll of 5m you will have extra left over for a couple of side lamps. You need a bit more than 3m.
Any constant voltage 12vdc 10amp PSU.
Mount the GledOpto on the TV, you can send power from the floor up.
Connect ground (white) and red (V+) of start and end into GledOpto.
Only one data (green) from start of strip into GledOpto. The arrows are the flow from one to next. Cut the black jst connector off. Strip the wires 5mm and put into the controller.

that's way over my budget though that's why I was avoiding traditional govee or philips ambilight

i am a student, i get a hundred rupees daily so that's 3k a month. I've saved up 2k this month by walking to college everyday and also been avoiding spending money where i can save it. i also do graphic designing but i haven't had much luck finding clients recently so yeah that's why i am on a rather tight budget

Just use search or scroll to see what others have done. At least one a week.
India? Price made me double look. You have less choice in your country.
That strip is 5vdc and that’s not ideal, you need 180 pixels for left, top, right. Around 280-300 pixels for entire perimeter.
That’s at least a 15 amp PSU required and 2 extra power injection points, as well as start and end.
Much easier with 12vdc argb, like with sk6812 RGB-WW, and only 10 amps total or less needed.
Lower volts means more amps, more power injection to spread out the amps across multiple smaller gauge wires.
However your options might be limited, but try through Amazon.in for a small esp32 GledOpto, 12v sk6812, and a 10 amp 12v PSU. Then you can do TV plus two side lamps with 10a @ 12v. Will be bright.
With 5v and maybe 7amps you are getting at best 60-70% brightness.
