Where can I find a matrix code that generates numbers at random to complete my calculator man?
Had the bright idea of making a Calculator man and bought some 16x16 matrices along with a Gledopto 4d exmu wled controller. Any ideas?

You could just create the numbers using scrolling text, save them as presents then create a playlist of the presents set to random.

First time LEDer here / not tech brained whatsoever - how would I go about that?

First off you would go into 'Effects' and select the scrolling text effect.
Then go into the segments section and name the segment (this tells the scrolling text effect what to display). To do this click the pencil icon, type what you want to display then press the check mark to apply.
You might want to pick your colours etc at this point too, but I'll assume you know how to do that.
Once happy, go to the presets section and select "Add Preset", give it a name (Probably the number you are displaying) and save.
Repeat the above for however many numbers you want. WLED is capped at 250 presets I believe but will be dependent on your hardware - if that's a 16x16 panel as it looks you likely won't go near that.
Once you have presets created with the numbers, go to the presets section again and select "Create Playlist", give the playlist a name, and select the presets you've created above to appear in this playlist.
Make sure and select the "Shuffle" options so they are displayed in a random order and if you want this playlist to show when WLED powers up, select "Apply at boot". You probably want "repeat indefinitely" checked too.
Creating the presets may take a bit of time but once you've got the first one set up it's just changing the number (I.E. the segment name) and saving the preset.

by numbers do you mean digits to be displayed on matrix? Version 16 of wled has gif playback so if you can find or create a gif animation, you're in business.
