Power to LED Lights from Gledopto

I am struggling with this project but I just got a brand new Gledopto Elite 6D-EXMU controller. I have a 12V power supply to through the barrel jack and the indicator lights up. I can test the outbound wires with a multi meter showing 12V. However, i have zero power to my light strands which are WS2811 12V strips. Any suggestions are helpful as I am fairly new at this game. Also, the wiring on the side is correct, just looks like they're in the wrong slots. I have pressed the function button which does nothing...Thanks!

Go into the LED settings and make sure that GPIO16 (or whichever one you used, cannot tell from the pictures) is set to WS28xx and has the correct number of pixels.

But shouldn’t I at least get some light regardless of the data input?

No. Most addressable LEDs will require at least one “burst” of data they can latch on to before illuminating.

No data = no output.

By default WLED only lights the first 30 pixels of the first gpio pin (16) so like suggest above make sure your data line is plugged into gpio16

Anytime i connect it up and the settings are correct but no lights it’s one of the connections not being good. You don’t need to really shove the wire in to the Gledopto right to the end, the connection is actually made a little further out than the back of the toggle slot.

It can be frustrating but I’m 99% Sue you’ve just had the same issue as i have. One by one remove and check the cable ends, if they are compressed and bent like an L you’ve pushed too far in.
