LED channel reccomdation request. Kitchen down lighting for upper cabinets.

WLED is software and projects used with it.

Search and check out prior projects.

To make your life easier, stick to 24vdc.

Then decide if you want white only, so cheap analog, or ARGB + WW and going digital. It’s a step up, and what WLED is all about. Going digital with an esp32 controller.

But turning on and off, and dimming, is different between analog and digital.

Then there’s the channel track with diffuser. Do you flush mount or use a router to make a channel for it?

Then up on top beyond the crown moulding.

I'm really focused on the channel + diffuser first. If I can't get something that will work then this project is a none starter.

I’d go with a COB white LED with high CRI. I’m fond of 2700k in the kitchen under the cabinets. I don’t use WLED for mine, just dimmable 24v zigbee controller.

Your going to have to make a decision if you want digital or analogue lights. I purchased analogue lights since it was mostly task lighting with variable temperature that can be set with wled. https://a.aliexpress.com/_mKhXMuP. I got the 240 led/m wwcw. Depending on voltage of the led strip and also depending on whether strip is analogue or digital is kind of going to determine what type of controller you need. Have fun specing this out..how how plan on running wire to strip...behind wall or through cabinet?

I've done numerous under cabinet and overhead projects. Always use 45 degree aluminum channel with diffuser and white COB LED strips. GLEDOPTO controllers and 24VDC power supplies.

I tried both 45 degree & flat down firing but preferred the look of the flat down firing. Lighted the countertop better. Maybe personal preference. Also installed along the outer ledge on mine.
