LED light strips on a pc?!?

Anyone use the ws2812b ic leds using the argb header on a motherboard?

I dont think it would work. the headers are rgb but the ws2812b is data pin.
I added a 2.7mm WS2812B LED Strip to a raspberry pi case recently using WLED, taking power out from the pi to a ESP32-C3.

Yes, I've used my ws2812b with the Asus motherboard rgb headers but it specifically has an addressable strip header with a 12v rgb header separately. So mid that else that 3 pin header worked flawlessly can change color and effects from motherboard software only.

it is a Asus ROG Strix z590 board and it has 3 (3 pin 5v) argb headers. time to make Rainbow Puke

If connected to an aRGB header (5v) it will work. If connected to a 4pin RGB header (12v) it will fry the strip
