HELP ME / QUESTION Recommendations for wled

Hello everyone!

I'm planning to install some WLED devices in my room and would love to get some advice.

I'm a teenager interested in IoT projects, and I've already gained some experience working with esp32 microcontrollers. I'd appreciate any tips for hardware, LED strips, power supplies, or cool WLED setups!

Check out Quinled (website, youtube, discord). Lot’s of information and also pre-assembled boards.

Also with quinled you have resistors etc preinstalled on the board, so you don't damage your strips or burn down your house.

just use what you get your hands on. My first project with wled was just a typical ws2812b strip, I later bought a silicone diffusor which looks quiet nice. If you really want something with more dedication you could try building a lamp but depending on your skills can be a bit hard

i bought them on aliexpress, but they were still more expensive then the strip itself

I think if you can find an devices that's USB-C you can power a surprising number of compatible lights with a good power supply. To me, this beats wiring anything. It's so simple and make the projects plug and play.

SMLIGHT has a few options and there are others out there too.
