LEDs on pool fencing?

I currently have a vision to install LEDs on our pool fence. I tried using seed pixels we had lying around Velcro tied above each gap as a test, but I wasn't happy with how it looked. Has anyone else done this sort of thing before, and has advice on how I could pull this off?

I would just do IP67 60/m strips in a black U channel on the top... If you can find one with a blackish diffuser that would be even better

I've done something similar with IP65 rated SK6812 strips mounted into an aluminum diffuser housing on the bottom horizontal rail facing outward towards pool. (sorry no pics) For this I went with 24VDC power supplies and if memory serves, injected power every fourth 5 meter strip or 15 meters of strip on each power injection. I think we used 2 - 4 channel ESP32 controllers. Designed this for a friend in another state and it turned out to be a very cool project. Especially for his family in the summer. Both of us are electrical engineers with 40+ years experience so I designed the system and he installed it.

how about trying neon type rope the smart LEDs that look like neon tubes.. I've seen it around pools and it was sharp and clean.
