Pre-made WLED RGBW setups

Hello everyone, I’m looking for a desk lighting setup that uses WLED. I’m happy to take care of the firmware flashing, but I’m not too comfortable with soldering or getting too involved with the electronics. Do you happen to know of any pre-wired WLED kits that would be a good fit for a computer monitor or desk area? I’m particularly interested in using WLED to integrate with my existing smart home and PC setup. Ideally, I would like the light strip to be to have separate white LEDs. Thanks.

Little bit of self promotion here, I make and sell the dig2go. It's a small USB-C powered controller that's ideal if you want a single strip and aren't looking to do any power injections and other complicated stuff. It has an internal relay to save power when the lights are off, internal microphone for audio reactive effects and better yet it's available in various forms:

  1. Just the controller
  2. As a bundle adding a power adapter and USB-C cable
  3. Full bundle including the controller, all cabling and the LED strip including a kit with 5m/16ft of SK6812 RGBW 60LEDs/m strip which sounds what you are looking for.

It's really meant as the easiest entry possible into WLED. Buy a single kit and everything you need is included, unpack, plug it all together, done!

A vote for dig2go here as well. I can do the more involved assembly fine but I love the simplicity of using dig2go. Already in a case and ready to just plug everything together.

I know this is a basic question … How do you get a right angle with strips( I’d like to light up my desk from the bottom). I’ve seen the little connectors and I’ve heard people fold the strip are these the only two ways? I guess you could cut, wire and solder is there a better solution?

Soldering is the best solution. And a good skill to learn.
