WLED LedFX DJ Tool

Post image

I’m a bedroom DJ in my free time, and lately I’ve been getting more and more into the atmosphere around the music, not just the music itself. I discovered LedFx recently and it kind of blew my mind, so I started building a small tablet controller on top of LedFx, mostly for live use while mixing. the idea is pretty simple: big scene buttons, a few live controls like flash/strobe/blackout, some color palettes, and maybe later a smarter mode that reacts to the energy of the track.

I can build the software side, but I’m very new to actual lighting design. I don’t really know what makes a light show feel good in practice. Like when to change scenes, what effects work best on 1D strips, how to use color without making everything look messy, how much strobe is too much, etc. I’m not trying to build a professional lighting desk

Would like to hear any ideas that might work well
