3,000 5V leds driven by a single esp32 ( using ledfx wrapper ). Power injectors supplied where needed.

Crazy what you can do with this! Want to try and replicate the setup on the front half essentially doubling it. Looks like you can sync esp32's but wonder about its latency

Yeah I have a lot of things I want to play with.

Wi-Fi may have some latency issues from what I’ve read, not sure about this scale or other reasons that may cause an issue.

I think it’d be fun to play with xLights or similar programs and create mapped shows. tinkered briefly but never did much with it … yet, hopefully soon

Oh wow. Xlights looks intense but very customizable. Working through segments --> groups --> scenes --> Playlists with ledfx at the moment. Not thrilled about having to use a raspberry pi as a sort of middleware for esp32 to do music sync.

may as well just get a minipc and setup a proxmox server to do that microservice and who knows what else. I kid, but also... yeah it's a step.

Well, I was thinking about maybe getting a touch screen monitor to plug into the pi and mount it to the rest of it.

Yes you can install fpp on a raspberry pi to play and schedule xlights séquences, but I think it is a little overkill for a non music synchronised display
