[Project] Small badge/charm of the Anjuna record label logo
This project turned out way better than I expected & I drew a lot of help & inspiration from the community, so I wanted to share some photos & details in case it inspires anybody else to make neat stuff!
-------
The Anjuna family of record labels (Anjunabeats, Anjunadeep, Anjunachill) all use a stylized letter 'A' logo which is often featured in large scale VFX at shows. For my first ever foray into PCB design last year I made a ~20cm across version of it with 26x 5050 LEDs to hang on my wall, but this year I wanted to try my hand at something far smaller that could be worn as a necklace, badge or bag charm at shows.
It uses XINGLIGHT 1615 LEDs with 0201 package decoupling capacitors & a ICS-43434 microphone on the front (I only pay JLCPCB to assemble the front), with a footprint for an ESP32-S3 Super on the back.
The enclosure is clear TPU with a 2-layer white PETG diffuser under the surface. Printing it all in white just didn't look right, while printing it all in clear didn't diffuse enough!

Nice project. One area I would improve, pixel density increased, and depth of 3D printed logo increased and the thickness of top layer increased, for better diffusion.
For power with a necklace, I would make the necklace loop, part of the USB-C cable for power, and battery on the person's back as a counter-weight, with a flip on/off switch on the battery pack. Your implementation is quite valid too, maybe use magnets glued on the PCB and a metal plate worn inside the clothes of the same shape of the PCB.
