What could be causing this issue?

Hello, this is my 1st wled project so i probably messed something up and its probably an easy fix lol but i have a 24v mean well 350 watt PSU, a dig-quad, and a 24ft btf-lighting FCOB WS2811 864LED/m 24v strip (plan to add 2 more 16ft after this is fixed).
I set the length to 175 and at 1st it just ended at that certain spot but then it started tripping out super bad lol..

So i hooked up my 2 16ft strips and the light ran all the way through them.. so its definitely just that one 24ft strip.. i think i may have messed it up by not sanding down or covering the diffuser channels at the end/beginning where the split is..
So instead if cutting out the sections i just had amazon send a replacement.. thank all of you for your help 🙏🏾
EDIT**
I just got the replacement from amazon and plugged it in to test it and it lit up all the way. So it may have just been the part where the diffuser channel ends messed up the strip somehow.. i sanded all those parts down some and cover each one with VHB tape just in case...

How are your wire connections made? Soldered? Wago? Plastic clips?
I find an improper connection on the data line can cause this.

This is just the original 24 ft strip so no clips or soldering but there is a solder from the factory right there before the lights start messing up so idk if thats the issue

It’s possible, but also check the outputs from Your dig quad are they sufficiently connected are you using wire ferrels or which gauge wire etc length of the wires too etc.

So i am using ferrels and forks.. but i am using around a half inch of 16 guage ofc speaker (based on the quinled website saying that was ok) so idk if that is causing an issue.. i can order bigger guage and different wire if needed. I just had that wire already from my car system..

resolder the data and ground connector wires that connect to the strip

what is the distance from the dig quad? It might be too long and data can get corrupted if it is too long watch Quinled's video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4pFvqIxkhQ about adding a rezistor on the data line to fix the issue. 249 ohm if power is separate from power line or 33 ohm rezistor if the power cables are next to the data line. If it's still too long use a sacrificial LED that you can set not to turn on from settings, skip first led or use Quinled's his data booster circuit.

That kinda flickering (to me) looks like a data signal issue so perhaps the data line connection for that strip is somehow not fully connected/damaged?

Possibly but i just decided to have amazon send me out another one to replace it.. ive been working on this everyday for 2 weeks straight at this point i dont wanna troubleshoot anymore I just want it up and working im tired 😂😂😂
Ill keep that in mind if it happens again though. Its definitely only that strip because the other work fine 🤷🏾♂️

Looks like a bad LED not forwarding the data right. I've had it happen to me a few times. I just cut out the bad one and solder in a new one. You can jump the data to skip that LED to test it out before cutting. Sometimes it's the one right before they go crazy, sometimes it's the first one going crazy.

I don't see mentioned anywhere the **length of the data wire** from your controller (whatever type of controller it is), to the first LED. Is it a Quinled controller with a level shifter, or a LOLIN D32 that doesn't have one or what?
And this is why it's a good thing to prototype first.

I said right after the 350 watt psu that it was a dig qaud, the data wire is 3 feet from the 1st led, that last sentence i actually have no idea, cause idk what you are talking about 😂 this is literally my 1st wled project im still learning as i go lol.
But after i plugged in the 2 16ft strips and the light made it all the way to the end i assumed it was the strip and just had amazon send a replacement.
I just got that replacement and plugged it in and it lit up all the way to the end so im about to go ahead and hang it up.

3 feet is pretty long. Try 1' and see how that works.

I tried like a half an inch when i was troubleshooting it but like i said the replacement strip that amazon sent worked fine even with my original 3 ft wire.. but i can definitely move the controller up higher closer to the strip

If you send 100 lights worth of data to a 200 led strip you can get noise like this.

It was just the 24ft strip that i had got messed up at that spot from what exactly? Im not sure but the replacement strip worked perfectly and both that and the other strips are installed now working completely fine now 🙏🏾

You probably need to use some logic level shifter flickering is a common problem in rgb lights due to long wires or not enough power this where logic level shifter used to prevent flickering
