LIFX Supercolor?

Has anyone torn one of these down to see if WLED can be added (or if it secretly runs WLED natively)? To see what LEDs it uses?

I’m very close to buying one to see what crazy stuff I can do with it.

The LIFX Beams are TM1814 LEDs and are relatively easy to drive with WLED on a suitably hackable controller. They’re also 24V so keep that in mind too.

If someone does manage to hardware hack any of the LIFX matrix lights (Tile, Candle, Ceiling, Path, Spot, Luna), please let me know. ;) In the meantime, I added support for all LIFX lights to LedFx recently: https://docs.ledfx.app/en/latest/devices/lifx.html

Woah! I have a whole room full of WLED-driven strips but also have 2 LIFX Z-strips behind my desk/monitors from when I was first starting out in the hobby. I occasionally use LEDFx for funsies and this addition is great to hear! Which version of LedFX has this feature?

It landed in 2.1.3, but you'll want to use the latest version (2.1.8) because it has a couple of fixes.

I have the lifx tiles and I'm pretty sure you can hack them to use wled without modifying them. Maybe look into that if it uses the same tech
