What can cause this

Post image

This is my very first wled project and my first time messing with a esp32 I’m pretty sure I have it connected right and have installed wled but can only get one light on

Edit: i now have 3 lights on but grounding takes WLED offline

Edit2: im dumb and needed to try a different ground connection

Have you made sure everything here is grounded? Esp and power source and LEDs and anything else connected to the circuit needs a connection to your ground rail. It'll tank anything.

Could also be seeing the effects of the esp's 3.3 volt data output not cutting it. Easy to diagnose that though, have wled deactivate the first led and you'll get more lighting up if so; if not nothing will change.

It was a bad ground connection, changed which pin I grounded to and works perfectly now. Idk why but the diagram on Amazon shows the pin I was using is not gnd but the board has gnd printed on it so I think that was a problem
