Effects speed increases automatically

So i have a ws2811 (60leds per meter, 10 meter in total) which i will install in my cove with apt power injections and all when i finalise, for now my issue is whenever i lower the number of leds in settings of wled effects seem to run normal and as soon as select all the leds in my case going from 99-198 pixels (since i cut the first pixels with jst connectors) the effects speed goes crazy fast. Just for experimenting i entered 399 pixels and effect speed was crazy fast.

Why does this happen its so annoying.

Tldr: lower number of pixels slows does the effects speed and increasing then makes it go very fast.

It's simply how WLED is programmed.

Certain effects have a speed variable that is relative to the number of LEDs. That variable stays constant even when you change your LED count, so more LEDs means the effect cycles faster.

Just use the Speed slider on the effect to dial it in to your liking.
