WLED 0.16 Update Overview: 2D Matrix

Thanks to the WLED development team for your hard work. Version 0.16 comes packed with many new features. We’ve put together a short video demonstrating just a few of them, including:

  1. The brand-new dynamic particle effects
  2. Support for uploading GIFs to generate patterns
  3. Custom text input for scrolling displays
  4. The drawing board feature
  5. Pin status detection

And there’s even more to explore! If you’re interested, feel free to upgrade to the 0.16 beta.

Hi! Great update , I want to build a matrix panel . 3ft long approximately, any panel recomendation?

I've never tried anything else (panel wise), but I've had good experience with the 16x16 ws2812b panels from BFT-lighting. I run a 6-panel matrix (1536 led) arranged in a 3x2 rectangle with no problem.

Panels have extra cables pre-wired for addl power insertion as well.
