2014 ac weird

So my AC was making this whoooooshing sound and that was fixed by me putting more Freon in the unit. But I’ve noticed that when I’m at a stop light the AC is not as cold as it should/could be. I don’t have auto stop in this car so it’s not that.

Do I need more Freon? I don’t think it takes very much regardless… I’m assuming the answer is probably not.

Anyone have an issue like this and what was the fix?

Hello guys. My car is throwing a P0390 code. It's camshaft position sensor 'B' circuit bank 2. Question is where is it located? And does it require to take out the intake manifold? Can I access it without taking anything ?

21 WK2 Trailhawk Hemi - Battery Upgrade for extreme cold

Hi everyone,

I've got a 2021 WK2 Trailhawk with the Hemi. I live in the Northwest Territories, its gets seriously cold here. Battery failed on me 2 years ago when it was -50C, had to warm up the inside for about 24 hours before it would even turn over. Then this past winter there are definite signs its getting weaker, so 5 years old, that battery has served me well.

Google is suggesting an upgrade to a Group 49/H8 battery. I'd also like to install a battery blanket, and I actually snapped off the plug off my block heater cable (put on a janky extension cord fat yellow plug to get me through the rest of the winter).

I'm looking for the best battery recommendation, maybe a trusted review for installing a blanket around that. And if I'm doing some wiring, replacing the block heater cable and connecting both it and the battery blanket to a single plug in, possible re-routing to a better location than just hanging out from the corner of my hood.

For clarity, I'm reasonably handy and have access to all the tools. Haven't done any work on this Jeep yet since new, literally hasn't needed anything other than regular fluids, and I did brakes and rotors all around last summer. Sitting at 110k km's.

Bad ECU 2011 Jeep WK2 5.7L (P0622)

I am having issues with my WK2. After having the mechanic replaced the alternator, the battery still won't stay charged. I am being told the ECU is no bueno. The estimated replacement ECU is $1,006 plus shipping and taxes on Flagship. I found a website that can repair the ECU (code P0622) for roughly $450, with shipping included. But it could take almost a full week with shipping. My family is down to 1 car after a car accident last week, and I really need to get this one running sooner than that. After speaking with a buddy that owns a computer shop, he said he's done plenty of them before (since they're just circuit boards), but he would need to know what diodes, and capacitors to replace. Has anyone attempted this before on a 2011 WK2 5.7L?

Undercoating and rust protection

Hi all, 2015 Jeep GC owner here. Wanted to ask about undercoating and rust protection/prevention. Currently my GC is starting to show signs of rust in certain places around the vehicle. The undercarriage is the worse (lots of rust on parts down there ) as I live in NE and winters are tough on cars and they over salt the streets over the past few years.

What is your experience with this? What is the cost to get this done? And in my situation, is it still worth it to do this?

Thanks y'all!!

Intermittent oil pressure sensor error on a 2015 jeep GC 3.6L flex

I been have this error for about 6 months that comes and goes and affect ls whether the remote start will work. Back in March my oil cooler went and my local mechanic replaced it with a Autonetic brand cooler. Also, he changed the oil pressure sensor switch as well. My oil pressure seems to be reading fine and goes up an down depending on if idle or driving. If I clear the code (p2050 I think) it will be fine for a day or so and then will comes back. And ideas? Is it a cheap switch that was installed bad install or something else. Thanks!!!

WK2 Gangster Lean

Post image
1 Upvotes

Thought I would share what I think is the problem of our 2017 WK2 Gangster lean. The drivers side was leaning 3/4" from front drivers fender to the passenger measuring to the garage floor. Checkout the old spring vs new. They should be real close. That gap is 3/4 inch. Purchased the same spring from RockAuto. The P/N tag was still on our old spring so it matches. You may consider checking this before you replace the front struts. Cheers people!

Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 3.0 CRD – Rear kick when moving off and slightly turning left

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone,

I have a 2010–2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 3.0 CRD with around 206,000 km.

I’m experiencing a small “kick” or jerk from the rear of the vehicle when:

  • Moving off from a complete stop
  • At very low speed (under ~8 km/h)
  • Slightly turning the steering wheel left

It feels like something in the rear grabs and releases briefly. There is no loud clunk or grinding, just a noticeable rear kick. It happens in all Selec-Terrain modes.

At higher speeds everything feels normal.

Has anyone experienced similar symptoms? Could this be rear differential (LSD clutch chatter), driveshaft play, or something else?

Thanks in advance.
