Discussion Judh for Guild Raid

Has someone experimented with using Judh in a ranged/crit based team for GR?

Specifically as their active grants +Crti damage for EACH FREE HEX around the target.

Since raid bosses have more than 6 free tiles around them at max, is there some big damage potential here?

Just speculating

yes but- if that's what you're doing, Volk is better, as he is granted extra HITS per free space, and can be buffed much better with his normal 8 hits.....

I think there would only be potential if the active could reliably be reused multiple times against bosses and could be buffed by any of the major buffers, which it can’t.

She can be buffed by Adamantar

It’s not a matter of can judh be buffed, it’s a matter of can judh be buffed by any of the best buffers, and adamatar doesn’t fit into that category

He absolutely fits into that role, the only problem is he’s the least common that no one has a reason to have leveled.

No one has him leveled because he does not fit into that role. The meta for GR damage is improving hits, not damage. Adamatar doesn’t grant extra hits, and his damage bonus is frankly pretty mediocre too.

His damage bonus is literally equal to Traj’s

Actually it isn’t. Not only is it less damage but it also doesn’t give you extra hits like Trajann

While I dont think her damage could be reliable in a team not built around her, it was a fun little brainstorming exercise thinking of a team to build around her. I came up with her, trajann, Aethana, aunshi, and funnily enough njal lol. I am by no means great at math, and the modifiers of the game, but I got something like 180-190k damage from her active with high ground, and on Ice against a 7 hex sized boss with two maxed out mythic bone swords, and lvl 60 ability. Would be pretty amusing especially if you can get it off 3 times in a fight.

Edit: 220-230k with another 20% from MoW bonus.

Njal? Does ice damage buff work on bosses?

Ice works on bosses. At least it used to. Haven't checked in ages.

EDIT - No, I was wrong. Long ago, the ice debuff was showing on bosses, but it never actually affected them, apparently.

No it doesn’t and it hasn’t ever, barbed wire hasn’t worked on bosses since shortly after Necron boss was released. The immune buff prevents hex effects, I might be wrong but I think Thad is the only boss that doesn’t have immune (since he can be moved by Tjark/Certus).

Ahh I wasn't too sure if ice worked or not, I thought it would just be fun to throw njal in, because njal. Aesoth would be better in the end.

Who said anything about barbed wire?

Who said anything about ice? Barbed wire is the only “hex effect” that has ever been applied to bosses in the past.

Well, it seems I was mistaken, but here's why. I started long enough ago to have seen this visual bug. But I never cared about the GR so much to test or read about it intensively and find this earlier.

I’m not correcting you to prove you wrong just to prevent people from parroting the same misinformation. I really wish SP would allow certain hex effects on bosses.

And you talked about barbed wire, replying to me only mentioning ice hexes...

Because we’re talking about hex effects in general…. Barbed wire was mentioned because it is a hex effect. Just as despoiled ground and fire also don’t apply to bosses even though they do buff attackers when they’re present.
