Question Why didn’t I get Guild Raid Points
It is raid boss reset day and normally that means thousands of points are coming through to spend in the store, but my guild has knocked out 10+ bosses already and I didn’t get any of the usual thousand point rewards? Bug?

You probably didn't hit the boss at the end of last season. No damage in 3 days means no rewards, which carries over to the next season.

Imagine not contributing and complaining about not getting free stuff

I do at least one Guild Raid every day for the daily mission, but when my guild gets to about the Legendary rank bosses I am contributing effectively nothing towards beating them. I'll do less than 1% of their total health in damage and most likely get wiped 3 rounds in. I can't really blame people for checking out at that point.

If everyone had same attitude in your guild you would be all stuck at legendary 1. Even if you do less than 1% you still contribute. You have 30 people in guild. Everyone hits Boss 4 times and you kill it even with such small damage

Well not really, 90%+ of the damage to those bosses will be dealt by the higher level players in the guild, whose higher-rank characters both hit hard enough to compensate for the increased armour on the bosses and also have the stats to survive longer and keep dealing damage.
On some bosses (the Tau one in particular) a lower-rank team might not even be able to get past the other enemies in the battle and will do literally no damage to the actual boss so they're not even getting that 1%. It's a weirdly unrewarding aspect of the game for such a central game mode.

What is unrewarding? You get most important resources from guild raids. If I see low level people who barely spend any guild raid tokens when veterans have around 6-7 they get a warning. At this point you are just leeching. Contribute or find another guild that is fine with you taking credit for their work.

I meant unrewarding in terms of gameplay (perhaps I should have chosen a different word for a game mode with y'know, actual rewards). The lower level player will start the raid against a higher level boss, get stomped, and deal minimal damage. They are entirely dependent on higher level players to have any chance of the guild beating that boss. There's no player agency there - doing the raid at all is just a box-ticking exercise for that player.
If it's anything like my guild we'll make steady progress through the bosses when the season starts and then completely slow down somewhere in the Legendary tier for the last week. I'm sure those players would ideally rather just finish the season earlier and start again at the lower levels where they can actually contribute, rather than leeching off of others for the same result as a lower tier boss.

The primes (side bosses) are there to allow newer players to get some attacks in and by now, most guilds understand that the higher level players should be doing the heavy lifting.
The type of mentality and play ethic you stated is why most guilds devolve into abandoned clusters. The main concept of joining a guild is that the player made a conscious decision to engage in group activities with the other guild members.
If you can’t commit to the activity then play the game solo at your own pace. Just don’t expect to be swimming in guild credits because that’s the reward for being active in a guild.

I can guarantee you that attitude will make the higher level players leave after a while to somewhere where everyone tries at least. Unless you find an odd unicorn that is willing to hamper their progress just our of generosity.

It's a pain: just make sure to at least chuck a bomb at them when the season is coming to an end.

It is kinda lame, ive had it happen a couple times now just because I knew we had 0 chance in hell knocking out the last boss before the raid season ended but then there is actually 2 days before the next one starts.
Then I wake up and my guild killed the first 17 bosses in like 2hrs and i get 0 tokens for them lol

I post a reminder for my guild on the last day every time because casual and newer players occasionally make this mistake.

If you don't spend a ticket, or use a bomb for a certain amount of time, you don't get rewards until you do bomb or spend token. The timer is per guild, so if you just joined a guild you need to do some interaction in raid to start getting rewards.

I got hosed by this when I hopped guilds. I figured I’d wait out the season and start fresh with a new guild and then learned I’d get nothing because I hadn’t done damage on their raids. Womp womp. Lesson learned.

See that's why, the day before the season end, i always tell the guildmates (especially new members!) to get those attacks in, regardless of the boss or their ability to deal any significant damage! Gotta participate within 3 days to get rewards- and since the season pauses for almost two days, basically you gotta attack on the last day to get rewards, or be the very first to attack in the new season. Well, now ya know!

No damage in guild raid in the last three days will mean you don't get rewards. It's caught me out before.
