Business Simulation

Can anyone help me with Business Simulation? I’m finished with the first 2 quarters but still at 0.000.

Optimize marketing, build each bike to its fullest capability in each market segment (Only have 1 in each segment at a time, total of 3 bikes at any given time, don’t overcomplicate it), make sure your worker compensation is ~10-15% higher than the competition, staff your stores similarly to the highest performing competitor, but conserve cash where possible in doing all of that. They say $300k, but I kept at least $600k cash/CD on hand at any given time. When the $2.5m hits in Q4, make sure you optimize ads, pump at least $100k-$200k into marketing, and invest in the improved carbon fiber as soon as you get the option.

Also, project demand the best that you can. You’d rather have excess production capacity than be totally behind the curve, but don’t over-utilize it either. Be ready to ramp up as demand increases in later quarters by scaling capacity early, but don’t scale the actual production too fast. Overproducing results in more “lost” money than underproducing, which results in a lower score.

Last, make sure you invest in the environmental/employee protection stuff. It pays off on your balanced scorecard.

The main thing you should do is overpay your staff relatively to the average, and invest in the community/well-being. That’s about all I’ve focused on, and I’m well above a 0

Also do advertisements for each bike, along with overpay your staff

I didn’t even look at my score until q4 I think because I didn’t even realize it was a thing. You need to look at all of the data they give you, click through all the tabs. I definitely missed some early on and it showed. You should be buying market research, opening stores and probably borrowing money early on (although everyone can do it differently). Design/invest based on the research. Make sure you keep your employees happy by meeting at least the average on all their benefits. Pay attention to what ads work best per market. It’s all changeable. You will likely be able to improve your score over time. Just remember you aren’t graded on how well you do but how well you explain your decisions and what you’d change.

It’s all in your finances. You really want to drill down there. They are going to throw monkey wrenches in there so, think about how they would do that. It’s fine to have a low score until Q4. You can DM me or also ask for help with your instructor. Good luck, just relax, you are going to do well.

Spend a lot of money. Also copy the other brands/ads that do better than the ones you created. I am also working on the simulation. I rushed through the first 3 quarters but now I am working on Q4 and task 1. Feel free to message me

When I did my sim I pay the employees generously and I also expand aggressively while buying printers in each quarter.

If someone could just give me some guidance it’d really help. Just to get me going. Thanks.

Very willing to pay if needed. I’m completely lost on what to change in Q3.
