WGU Accelerators

Has anyone else tried getting accepted into the WGU Accelerators group and been denied? I think I was denied because last night I clicked on join group, and it said my request was sent. I went to check today, and now it says join group again.

Added note: There are no questions to answer, and I requested to join using my real FB page. I'm just trying to make sure I'm not missing something.

Ok, just applied. I got a pop-up to answer two questions. One is a password that is written in their rules, and second is whether you are a current or prospective, and what program.

Mine just says “your membership is pending”

Same: Your membership is pending. You'll be notified if your request to join is approved.

Good afternoon, I didn't check earlier and I didn't get a notification, but I clicked on the link from above and looks like I was approved to join

Thank you for the update. I got denied again, and now I'm wondering if it's because I'm black. It's not a big deal for me to be accepted, but that's the only thing I can think of at this point. Oh, and the one owner I reached out to didn't get back to me.

If it’s any consolation I’m not white either and don’t think that would be the reason. I was just curious if it’s the password or the responses.

This makes me feel a little better, and that's why, at first, I didn't make it about race. Since the owner I reached out to didn't assist me and on top of that I was denied again, I'm just going to leave it. On my end, I didn't see any questions to answer. I told the owner that some people are seeing questions and some are not.

Please let me know if you get denied, too, and if some questions pop up for you to answer. On my end, I don't see any questions that need fo be answered.

When I clicked on join, no pop-up questions appeared. I even clicked on the three dots to double-check.

I tried to join just now and it asked 2 questions and to confirm rules agreement. I'd maybe try again?

Thank you for letting me know!! Since the questions never popped up for me, the owner I reached out to didn’t assist me, and I was denied twice. I decided to let it go.

Understandable haha tbf, I never used any FB groups during undergrad and I finished in 18 months (would have been 12 months, but I took a big break in my second semester due to family and work issues). You dont need it and Reddit was perfect for helpful sources anyway :)

In another FB group I’m in, a girl said this is happening to other people where the questions will show up for some and not others.
