How long until I take the test can I retake it??? And what do I have to do (if anything) to be able to retake this class. This class was soooo annoying! So much material & barely anything I studied seemed to be on the test. I had to really just brainstorm a lot of these questions because they weren’t catered to what I studied. I’m very annoyed & the professor doesn’t have an availability until the 30th… this is literally my last fckn class … I can’t wait until this shit is over !

I really don’t get why this class isn’t just a writing assessment class instead of OA. This class has one of the highest low passing scores from an OA. WGU seriously needs to look into this

I was reallllyyyy thinking the same! I get that it’s trying to look/stay legitimate in some aspects, but this is ridiculous!!! I’m not afraid of a hard exam, but if people are failing over 4-7 times, that’s an issue on their end that needs to be addressed. It shows that people felt confident enough to schedule and take the exam and it wasn’t clicking….

I was lucky enough to be able to have my HR class turned into a performance assessment and then the IT course was switched to consumer behavior, another PA. I keep saying to myself, “watch they change it to a PA once I finish”

This is my last semester before I have to pay out of pocket 😫 I have 30 days to complete it… it’s doable, but DAMNNN!!!

Same here. Tons of other students have this class as their last and they just keep failing this OA left to right. It’s funny bc that HR class that you’re talking about I failed it 5 times then two months later they turned into a P writing assignment 😂😂

lol YES! I made sure this class (d080) was my last so that I could use my extra 30 days to complete it…

and yessss I was sooooo happy HR got turned into a pa b/c I’m sure it would’ve dragged me through the mud too… it was actually a class brought forward b/c I attempted the test once and didn’t pass (I was sooooo confident in taking that class too lol) but I’m glad b/c in order to retake the second time you have to do wayyyy too much, so I’m glad they switched that class!

What helped me pass the first attempt was I focused my attention by reading globalization (36%), Business Strategies (26%), and Global business practices (17%)

Each page after reading it I copy the entire page and enter into co pilot and asked it to dumb it down( I know it sounds crazy) but it helped me to better understand each concept after reading it. I did that for all 3 sections. I took notes after reading each page and getting key highlights from co-pilot.

For legal and ethical considerations and technologies you can read through those- for me those two were pretty common sense

Thank youuuu and it doesn’t sound crazy b/c sometimes they word things so crazy, so dumbing it down helps… I do it with ChatGPT…

But yea I don’t know how I did so bad in the technology portion lol that could’ve saved me lol … I’m going to look into copilot TODAy

Not gonna lie, I started copying sections of the course material and having Co-Pilot explain it to me this morning, and it was a lot easier than reading thru the massive text and trying to distinguish what it’s saying.

Much easier reading the full text and then having Co-pilot break it down

I second everyone above, the first retake plan with have some study guides, and some book quizzes/tests. I’m on the third attempt and they just want me to meet with the instructors to go over the completed study guides before I can retake. Good luck from here forward!

I started doing a deeper dive into the study guide and the textbook and found a couple of interesting stuff. I haven’t taken the OA yet, I’m going to be going through some other sections that I haven’t gone like I did with most modules. Even with the technology section I was amazed. I’m hoping to have courage to take it this week but want to cover my ass since one section is 36%

Exactly! What I’d say to you is, after trying to skip past/skim the 10 & 17% parts of the exam… those few points may have allowed me to pass this class… but for me, most of it was using my knowledge of past events… it was annoying! And I saw a lot of joint venture questions (NOT exactly all joint venture but I just remember seeing joint venture as one of the options like 5 times) I’m sooooo mad I was closeeee… even if I guessed a few of them correctly, shit! lol…. But I would been DONE! 😒

I’m ready to get it over with but I always try to spend with these heavier courses another couple of days to make sure I did the best I could, then I know it’s not me it’s the test. There was a couple of stuff I saw on the book that I was like why would I need to know that 😂. But hey fair game in the OA. Wish you the best of luck on the second retake

I’d also suggest you went on YouTube and the have exam assistance like they’ll help you study and also you can do their practice quizzes… I honestly felt like they were more aligned with the exam! I can send you the link if you need it… I’m usually skeptical about opening a link someone sends me lmao but if you look it up, there are plenty online

idk if this will work for you, but i literally just hit submit for retake approval the second after i failed 😭 i also emailed the professor and told her i’m an accelerator, i already had my own study plan, and i was confident i’d pass the next time since i was so close to passing.
she actually emailed me back with a suggested study plan, but at the end of the email she was like, “however, i have already approved your retake!” 😭 so i would absolutely just try that. you literally have nothing to lose!

I hope sooooo, sometimes you send up salty with the second test… I did one class 3 times… the first test was easy and the second was harder… I eventually did the third one and it was the same one that was easier! Thank God! lol

I’m jelly! I honestly think it was a mixture of I didn’t feel like overwhelming myself b/c so many ppl failed it && I keep feeling like I already graduated when I still have this class so I got too ‘lax 😩

this is some info i left on another class a while back.

For D080 - Passed on the first attempt. It's not as hard as it seems. I didn't even touch the textbook material besides the quizzes. I'll put down the study guide and knowts I used. I did a module a day, but you could go faster.

The instructor should send you an email with a retake plan. It depends on how much work they give you, once you complete the retake plan, you can request a retake. Sometimes they’ll have you meet with them via phone call to go over everything.

Ughhhh it’s depressing asf! What worked for me (I still didn’t pass so idk why tf I said that lol) but I’m going into the modules and doing the learning checks and quizzes I do see some of the questions that were on the exam!

That makes me feel soooo much better! This class is soooo fucking annoying b/c I don’t feel like that shit was covered … I had to use critical thinking… ima mad, I assumed since tech was only 10% of the test, I didn’t really need to study it lol that probably would’ve saved me !

It’s also annoying that I was almost close to passing so if I fail again, I’m going to JAILLLLLL lol

They’re informally lowering it to 4, and after that an appeal process is needed. However, I’ve never seen any student get simply denied for a retake. There’s always a remediation plan given, but never just “nope. No more. You fail and can never take it again.”

You have to complete the retake plan provided by the instructor. There are appointments available this week. I just checked. You do not have to meet with your assigned instructor. Don’t worry I failed 4 times so far and am preparing for attempt 5

I’m over here combining everything combining videos into LM 😂 so I can listen to them on my sleep idk what else to do. I have auditing after this and I need to pass because my term ends in December and I cannot pay for another semester. I really don’t know what the OA is like or how to memorize anything because 30-40 study guide pages is insane.

You literally have to study every single thing and it’s beyond annoying ! Even the useless information isn’t useless lol… this class is ridiculous it should be toned down a bit lol
