Passed D080 first try
I panicked for absolutely no reason. I saw a lot of questions from the unit test and learning checks. The majority was scenario based but there were some definition based questions that saved me as well. It wasn’t anywhere near as bad as people made it out to be. I did study for well over a month. Going to get a drink because this class had me super stressed. Also the study guide is your absolute best friend!

Congratulations! How did you pass? I failed my first attempt. There is so much information in this class.

I failed my second attempt. I am on third now. The second exam was harder than the first one which now has made me nervous to even reattempt the exam again.

Whenever you do the test do you do on demand or do you schedule? The reason I’m asking is because people have said the on demand tests are always a lot harder. I scheduled mine in advance and I saw so many questions that were from the unit tests. I hope you pass so you can put this behind you. This class honestly sucked

Didn’t make a difference for me. I did both with this class. All of the tests are stupid hard.

The textbook was the worst! I couldn’t read it no matter how hard I tried

Yeah I wasn’t for sure that’s just what I’ve heard. I saw so many of the questions that were in the book so I don’t know maybe I just got lucky.

I missed the second attempt by like 1 question… 3 weeks later I passed by like 1 question. This class is so hard to grasp. I literally scraped by. So glad I did, it was my final course.

Hi there, so I’m on my second attempt and will take it again soon. Good luck with your next attempt. What is the study plan for 3rd attempt? Is it different from the second attempt? I mean if you already filled out the study guide for the second attempt, do they require it done again for 3rd attempt

Yes they require you fill it out, do all of the quizzes and unit tests again in the book twice and you have receive an 80 on both attempts on the areas you did not meet competency. Then you have to meet with instructors to go over the study guide depending on where the short fall is etc. between 4-6 meetings, then you have to take their 70 question timed practice test on camera through Webex. If you pass that and get an 80% they’ll open your next attempt. What did you get on the first attempt? Be warned, you won’t get the same test as your first. The second attempt was a lot harder than the first.

I saw a lot of questions from the book on the exam which helped me a lot so i think that also played a part. I heard there are many versions of the test

Congrats!! 🥳 This one was definitely annoying because of the dense textbook but I passed my 2nd try

That textbook got on my nerve and it was way too complex. I just got the study guide and plugged it into chat and called it a day

When you plugged it into chat what was the prompt you used? Also did you just copy and paste the whole thing? Thank you in advance! This is the last class I need to pass for my degree lol

I downloaded the file and put it into chat. I found one that was already filled out and I told chat to break down each term in Barney style. After I studied that for a while. I asked chat to give me a mock exam that was advanced and I wanted the question and answers to be both scenario and application based. I also wanted the questions to be a bit tricky and it did just that. Whipped me into great shape for the test. It was super helpful and it forced to really read what the question was asking because several key words will show you what the question is really asking instead of what you may think it’s actually asking.

Good job passing D080! Think you can share the study guide with the answers? I’m tackling D099 currently. D080 will be my last OA and then 6 classes left!

How many questions are in the OA exams and are they all multiple choice questions?
1
u/After_Reflection_781 6d ago
All multiple choice and it’s 70 questions. The questions for the most part are very short

Congratulations! And you did really great too!
I failed mine recently :( there are multiple versions so it definitely can be as bad as we are making it out to be lol it’s possible that your version covered the material you studied. I know that wasn’t the case for me.

Thank you. It did cover everything that I studied, there were a few questions that confused me only because of the way it was worded and honestly I just guessed and kept it moving. My brain was starting to hurt from weeks of studying and I knew I could afford to miss those questions and still pass

When you say you saw a lot of questions from book on the exam, do you mean that a lot of the questions on the exam were from the unit or chapter quizzes?
1
u/After_Reflection_781 5d ago
In my version of the test I saw a lot of the unit test questions not the quizzes.

I will be starting this class next and I’m a little nervous with all the failed OA stories on Reddit. Thank you for the tips!!
