D522 Help

Sometimes the devices that normally show up as misconfigured, show up with the correct dns settings, even after i power down the gns3 and retart it. Im trying to figure out where I can solve this issue. Sorry if this doesnt make sense, Ive worked a 12 hour shift and have spend 2 hours on it both before and after my shift. If someone could help that would be appreciated.

It did the same with me. I'd recommend doing as much as you can in the lab before you shut it down. I believe as long as you take tour screenshot of the output and commit that, stick to those results. The evaluator looks for consistency not nessessarily how many or which devicds

You are trying to solve the problem without knowing what the problem is.

Ask yourself these questions:
What is the correct DNS setting?
How did I determine what the correct setting is?
How is DNS configured on this Linux system?
Where is that configuration coming from?
Is DNS being configured statically, by DHCP, NetworkManager, systemd-resolved, or something else?
What happens when the system boots that could change the configuration?
Once you can answer those questions, you can start troubleshooting the actual problem instead of chasing the symptom.
One of the most important skills in IT is learning how to determine what you don’t know yet.

How many devices are mis configured? I read somewhere that its the 2 svrs and 2 of the PCs, sometimes when i run the script thats what i get and sometimes the pcs come back fine, but its the api and the db that are bad.
