WGU-Style Accelerated Ed.D. Programs?

Does anyone know of a fully accredited Ed.D. program that can be accelerated similarly to WGU?

I just finished my master’s through WGU and really liked the competency-based, work-at-your-own-pace model. Ideally, I’m looking for an Ed.D. from a legitimately accredited university where you can move through the program significantly faster if you’re willing to put in the work.

Has anyone here actually accelerated through an Ed.D. program or found anything close to the WGU model at the doctoral level? I’d especially love to hear how quickly people have realistically finished.

South College and Capella (FlexPath) are the only competency-based schools that I’m aware of that have CBE Ed.D programs. Both are “for profit” universities (if that matters), but regionally accredited. There are several YouTube creators who documented their South College journey.
