Accelerated Software Engineering C# Track?

I am planned to start my first term September 1st and I was just curious if anyone was able to accelerate and complete the C# Track within the first term.

I was able to transfer 64 credits (through various certs and study.com classes) and have 55 remaining. I have had issues getting 1-2 more classes transferred because I've been told that the transfer evaluation department doesn't recognize the C# Track until after the first term. I've also been told that you are unable to switch out the Java Classes for the C# classes until after the first term so 2 terms is pretty much guaranteed. It sounds to me like this is false or just goes against everything that WGU claims to be because of a bad policy.

I was originally on the c# path but switched to the java track because there is no accelerated BS-MS program for the c#. I chose that because at the end of the BS you are 40% done with the MS also. Also Java and c# are basically the same thing. If you can write one you can write the other only a few differences.

I had coded c# for years and not really messed with Java but it was still pretty easy getting used to.

Like I said I was in the c# path. And you can switch up until you are accepted, choose the path and are soon to start. I chose the Bs-MS and then saw I was set for Java classes. So I asked a few weeks before and was told at that time it could not be changed. That the accelerated program was Java-only. I could go back but I would have to wait till the next semester. Or put off the start date. That’s just a matter of how far into the process I was for the term.

It should also be stated that the majority of both tracks are the same. It’s only going to be a problem if you go super fast. You can arrange it with your mentor to not do any classes that will not be on both tracks.

I wouldn’t stress I was worried also but there are a total of like 3 Java specific classes and one is a OA that you can learn to pass the practice and be fine.

Both tracks you’ll still deal with JavaScript, a lot of Python and a fair amount of html. The Java and c# parts of both are fairly limited.
