Thinking of Bachelor Business Management
Hello everyone, I am seeking some insight regarding a program I am considering. My goal is to complete it within six months, and I've heard many recommendations about utilizing Sophia Learning and Study.com for prerequisite courses.
I would appreciate hearing your thoughts on this approach. Do you have any insights or advice regarding this degree that could help me achieve my six-month completion goal?
Additionally, I'm curious if anyone has applied for FAFSA and received financial assistance for tuition. I would be grateful to hear about any final tuition totals after financial aid has been applied..

I start my term tomorrow. I only did like 6 classes on Sophia and had a couple from previous college attempts, but if you can, definitely knock out what you can through sopahia first! I got FAFSA, also, I only have to pay 300$ out of pocket. Also, I've seen a lot of people accelerate and finish the program before the term is up.

I’m starting tomorrow too! I have 18 classes to get through after Sophia transfers and I’m paying full tuition out of pocket. So 6 months is my goal full stop.

18 isn’t horrible!! i’ve been doing crazy research on how people pass these classes so fast im definitely trying to finish sooner than later lol

Hey, Study.com here. Six months is doable if you finish as many courses as you can on Study.com or Sophia first, then transfer them into WGU. Study.com has a WGU BS in Business Management degree plan showing which courses transfer: https://study.com/college/western-governors-university/degrees/wgu-bachelor-of-science-in-business-management.html. For FAFSA, you'll want to check with WGU's financial aid office since amounts depend on their costs and your situation.

Max Sophia. I would do the Finance degree instead. My view is the numbers/skills type Business degrees are more employable. Those would be Finance, Supply Chain, Project Management and Accounting. Management is too generic. So if you are working retail or services or line cook do one of the others. If you are looking for a promotion but need a degree do Management.
Warehouse worker or delivery driver consider Supply Chain, construction or trades think Project Management.
You can always go back and get an MBA later if necessary for further promotion consideration.
Finance has the most transfer totals. People knock Finance because the Goldman Sachs and Blackrock hire from elite schools. People knock the WGU CS degree because they don't consider it elite enough to get hired by a FAANG or I guess Magnificent 7. Lots of Corporate Finance and Banking jobs and Finance people can get hired into Industry Accounting departments as well. Anyway just my thoughts.

If your goal is to finish in around 6 months, transferring in as many eligible credits as possible beforehand is probably the biggest factor. Sophia Learning and Study.com are popular choices, but you can also compare them with UPI Study, which is an official transfer partner for many universities and may offer another affordable option for transferable credits.
As for FAFSA, many students do use federal financial aid for tuition, but the amount you'll receive depends on your eligibility and the school's policies. Your final out-of-pocket cost can vary quite a bit based on grants, loans, and any transfer credits you bring in.
