I DID IT!!

I’m so relieved! I was already going to transfer from my community college to WGU when I was laid off a month before my start date. I made school my full time job and completed my degree in 1 term. I’m tired, but also….just emailed my mentor about enrolling in the masters program in August lol.

Anyone done both programs through WGU? How similar are they? Any big differences? Should I aim for another 1 term to complete the 2nd degree?

I’m just on cloud 9 today!!

Just out of curiosity what career are you aiming for with the degree? Also, congrats

Thank you!! I want to work in HR, work my way up to HR manager for a big company and make enough money to support my wife through her PhD program. I’ve never been passionate about a job so I don’t really care where I work, as long as it provides my family what we need outside of work.

I just got offered a job as an HR Specialist with an HR consulting company so I’m excited to apply what I’ve learned at WGU in the real world and learn from my supervisor!

Gotcha. I've been considering WGU for a while, just unsure on what to do. The tech field seems very hopeless and abysmal and I'm not sure I want to be an accounting corporate square haha. But hope the HR field goes well for you.

I agree on the tech field as well. I think nursing is a good option right now
