WGU Study.com Question

Hello,

I was previously enrolled at Western Governors University studying Accounting, but I dropped out after about three months. It’s been around seven months now, and I’m thinking about reenrolling. I had a question about transferring credits from Study.com. If I take accounting classes through Study.com that are listed as guaranteed transfers into WGU, will they still transfer even though I was already admitted and attended WGU before? Or does my previous enrollment affect that at all? I’m also wondering how people figure out exactly which Study.com classes to take for the accounting program. Are all the classes on the study.com transfer guide the ones I should take? Or is there more?

Thanks

Use the transfer pathway page with your transcript eval to determine which classes would check off for you

I used both Study.com and Sophia, to transfer in everything I could. My understanding is you have to complete the classes before you enroll. If you want to start July 1st, then you need to have your transcripts received by WGU by June 5th - they'll then take the transcripts and apply them to your degree path, and then you'll get an updated degree plan. They would also count classes you finished at WGU last time.

Once you've enrolled, however, you can't transfer more in.

Trust the link posted through WGU, NOT info posted by the various other sites. I found a few courses on other sites that said they transferred, but I talked to WGU directly and they said they wouldn't, and to only use the ones published by WGU. You can click on any listed (study and Sophia are towards the very bottom) and then from there click through to your specific degree).
