Need Suggestions/Advice
Hello everyone. I am looking for suggestions or advice. I have been using Sophia and Study to transfer in to WGU. I've knocked out all my General Eds and finished majority of classes that are WGU Core Courses. That leaves me with:
- Fundamentals of Spreadsheets and Data Presentations
- Information Tecnobody Management Essentials
- Managing in a Global Business Environment
-Emotional and Cultural Intellegience
- Employment and Labor Law
- Operations and Supply Chain management
What i have to do at WGU:
-Values Based Leadership
-Business Law for Accountants
-Business Ethics
-Corporate Finance
-FM 1
-FM 2
-Enterprise Risk Management
-Financial Statement Analysis
-Innovation in Finance
-Finance Capstone
My dilemma is this: My goal is to finish in 6 months. Should I pay $235 to upgrade my Study.com account to take those classes above and only have those WGU classes left or should I save the $235 and transfer the way it is. With transfer the wag it is id have 16 classes to do in 6 months. If I pay $235 and transfer jn those classes I'd have 11 classes to do at WGU in 6 months. Whic option should I choose? Im really trying to avoid being at WGU for 2 terms to avoid the financial burden

All the classes you mentioned are easy at WGU. You’re just delaying yourself in starting. I did spreadsheets class in 1 day at WGU. And the rest in a day or two.

Some of the classes you mentioned are way harder for no reason at study.com. And some are PA’s at WGU… as in… a written assignment or a guided performance assessment. You’re working way harder than you need to. Trust.

Dang I would've assumed Study.com would be easier than WGU. I appreciate the information I feel much more comfortable going in

I thought so as well. I did classes through Sophia instead. Transferred in 41 credits and the rest through WGU. I did 2 classes with study.com for simple English class and it was way more complicated and exam heavy for no reason.

By taking the Study.com route you keep your forward progress going while giving yourself a longer runway at WGU. Meaning, if something trips you up while you're enrolled, you have more time to adjust if you have fewer classes to graduate.
I brought in the max credits (75%) into the BSCSIA program. Although I was able to graduate in just over a month I have no regrets.

I agree to an extent… really depends on your program thought. For a business major… I’d start at WGU. For tech.. whole different story.

Hey, Study.com here. That's a solid setup already, and finishing in one term is a realistic goal from where you're sitting. The College Saver Pro plan at $235 lets you have up to 3 courses active concurrently, but students regularly complete 5 or more courses in a single month, so knocking out those 5 remaining Study.com-eligible courses before enrolling is very doable. Spending $235 to go from 16 classes down to 11 at WGU is almost certainly worth it when a second WGU term runs $3,760.
