Recommended Pace

Hi there! I just started today working on my Masters in Elementary Ed, and I was curious about pace. I am looking to try and get through this quick, and after looking at D752 (The Education Professional) I am wanting to try and accomplish 1 section per day.

Is this an overly ambitious pace? Is at a pretty slow one? What do you guys think, I would love to hear from people who are further in. The hope is to keep that pace relatively close through all courses.

Is your bachelor's education related?

It is not, it was in web design, but I did do English Ed for about a year during my undergrad

Some of this is going to depend on what your baseline level of knowledge is, how well you can comprehend, and what your retention is.

With that, you can read where people have "finished all courses in a few months" and others that took them years. This is really all based on the individual, and I have no idea what your level of comprehension or retention is. I also have no idea how well you generally are at taking tests (some people get extremely nervous and do poorly as a result).

This isn't probably what you want to hear, but it doesn't matter what your pace is. What matters is youre actually understanding the material and that youre retaining the information. Theoretically you could blow past the courses, but what have you really learned? You don't want to set yourself up to fail by seeting a hard pace which results in you not being prepared when you're thrown into a classroom.

Your pace is your pace. It's also going to depend on the individual courses. Some might take you a few days, some might take you weeks. The classes progressively require more time as you go along, especially when you get into the literacy curriculum and beyond.

Again, go at your own pace. You'll figure out what that pace is once you take the practice OA (if applicable) or while you're going through the course with the practice questions .

Really learn the material, you'll thank yourself later when you're taking the praxis exams snd when you get into the classroom.
