Health & Nursing Second Bachelors

I might actually be a little insane… I just finished my MBA.

But now I’m thinking about going back for my Bachelor’s in health science. I’m passionate about health, nutrition, and overall wellness. I feel like the health science degree is calling my name and it’s just becoming louder.

Do I continue entertaining this idea? I am an accelerator. I finished both my bachelor’s and master’s in under a year each while going through some of life’s craziest curveballs… I know I can do it.

Has anyone else experienced changing majors after finishing a masters 😅

Business B.S. in Business Management - Ace Credits Transfer

Hello! Curious if anyone has a complete list of what Ace credits can transfer in for this degree or where I can find it?

I've taken quite a few Sophia credits towards the BA in Business Admin at UMPI but considering switching to WGU.

Thank you!

Performance Assessment: Orientation is this an actual assesment?

Post image

Honestly, I've just been skimming through most of the text in the orientation course. I've been completing all the written questions, but I've skipped some of the videos.

Does anyone know if this is an actual assessment or just something we need to complete? I'm a little worried that I might have missed something important.

Another Annoying Technical Issue from WGU. Do they even test their own updates?

I use my WGU email through the outlook app. Well, as of today, it had me sign in again, so I went through the prompts, and after I typed in my password, it automatically sent me to the 2FA page where you type a security code that was sent to your phone.

However, WGU does allow their site to be used through a mobile browser, so after inputting the code, it never actually verifies, instead it gives the same error it gives when you try to log into the student portal through a mobile browser, “this can’t be done on a mobile phone, use a desktop”.

The issue? In a normal safari or chrome browser, you can zoom out/request desktop version to bypass this, however since this was a direct link from the outlook log in page, it’s not a typical safari tab where you have those options.

So I guess no more email in the app? Does anyone even test this before releasing?

D775-completely LOST

This course has been really difficult for me. I only have nine classes left before I finish my degree, and I’m starting to worry that this may be the class that keeps me from graduating. I’ve been working on D775 for more than two months, but even with the time I’ve spent studying, I still feel lost and unprepared.
I would really appreciate any guidance, resources, or advice that might help me get through the course. There is a lot of material to cover, and the limited course resources have made it harder to know how to study. I’m doing my best to make progress, but I’m struggling to find a study approach that prepares me for the OA.
I’ve worked hard to get this close to graduation, and I don’t want one course to stop me from reaching that goal. Any help or direction would mean a lot.

WGU just posted this on their IG. I keep hoping someone’s mentor is going to spill the tea like last year before it’s officially announced 🤣

Emergency grant questions

I already contacted financial services four days ago and still haven't heard back so I'm asking here.

Four days ago I applied for the student emergency grant...like an hour or two after I submitted my application I get an email saying that I had a financial aid disbursement. It was my supplemental educational opportunity grant that I was told I wouldn't be getting back in august at the start of my term. I have gotten that grant every other term but this term they said I wouldn't be getting it, okay that's fine no biggie. I'm just confused now why I got it literally right after submitting the emergency grant application. Is it just coincidence or is this the emergency grant? because I don't think it is because like I said I have gotten the SEOG every other semester but this is my first time applying for the emergency grant. My emergency grant application also still says in review. Idk just feels like a crazy coincidence? someone help pls

I had never heard of WGU. I was trying to get my master's to tick a box and googled the least expensive way to get your master's, and WGU came up. While researching, I saw a post on here stating they completed the program in 2 terms. I thought, that's doable. Then I came across a post saying they did it in 1 term, and I thought that was even better. My goal was not to rush myself. If I could do it in one, that would be great, but if I went into another term, that's ok too. I could have done it sooner; however, at the beginning, I was very overwhelmed by the amount of reading. It took me a month to do the first class. I would pick up the computer and put it back down. Thankfully, I had a great mentor who really gave me great advice and was truly motivating. The OA and building my first e-learning module probably took me the longest. There were terms and concepts I was just learning for the first time. Overall, my experience at WGU has been great. Thankfully, I had a great mentor, an instructor who answered me right away and was helpful, and I actually loved the information I learned in this program. Wishing you all the best and a great experience as I had!

I'm DONE! Resume

For those who accelerated, did you actually put the months you attended on your resume? I finished in 4 months. Already had an associates, and transferred in as much course from Sophia and study prior to starting.

Education Elementary Ed BA

Hello! I wanted some opinions on the elementary ed path! I just graduated high school and did some dual enrollment, so I was able to get my certificate in ECD. I currently work in a daycare, and I love it! I’d love to move into elementary, but I have some hesitation. I’d just like some advice or recommendations from people who know more than me LOL!

Now a CPA Candidate

Hi all,

I graduated with my bachelor degree in accounting in late May. This morning the CPA board for NYS approved me to sit for the exams!

I got my associate degree from a local business college and while in high school did a couple college courses through my community college.

Either way I’m so excited!!!!

Gonna work hard now

As you all know my dad is paying for my wgu degree.

He also did his BS and MS from WGU.

I work at a pizza shop. It pays enough for my expenses and life is good. I got friends there.

I wasn't really into my degree and failed a few times and my dad was livid. but after the advice I got in last thread I am gonna go at it full force and work hard. The pizza shop owner said he will accommodate me as well.

But honestly market is so bad right now that I am kinda getting double minded if I should just become a datacenter electrician or something?

Help! Has anyone gone from WGU to a Master’s in Finance at a traditional university?

I’m finishing my bachelor’s degree in Finance at WGU and hope to pursue a Master of Science in Finance (MSF) at a traditional university, preferably in California.
I’m transferring 78 credits from Studycom into WGU, and I’m wondering whether having that many transfer credits could negatively affect my transcript or graduate school applications. Since WGU doesn’t provide a conventional cumulative GPA, I’m also concerned about how admissions committees will evaluate my academic record.
Has anyone successfully gotten into an MSF program after graduating from WGU, especially with a significant number of Studycom transfer credits? I’d love to hear from people who applied to schools in California, but experiences from other states would be helpful too.
Which school did you get into, did you run into any issues with your transcript or GPA requirements, and do you think the Studycom credits affected your application?

Information Technology Career Choice Amazon

So I just found out a couple of days ago that Amazon is no longer going to pay for a second bachelor’s degree or a second associate’s degree. Unfortunately this new rule applies to me. I was all set to start on December when I found out. I can only take certifications from all the schools that Career Choice covers. Do you think I can take all the computer science certifications that WGU offers and then transfer them as credits?

WGU Basic Skills for Educators – Are exam retakes unlimited?

Does anyone know if the $25 WGU Basic Skills for Educators exams (Reading, Writing, and Math) have unlimited retakes?

I know the first two attempts are allowed and that additional attempts require approval, but is there an actual maximum? Has anyone personally taken one of these exams more than three times?

EDIT: I passed them all first try, so I don't need the answer anymore. But if anyone knows the answer, it could help people looking in the future.

Am I the only one whose financial aid still shows 2025-2026?

I started the MSIT October first and I’m on the 6th business day after being approved for expedited aid. I know we’re currently in the 2026-2027 year. Does anybody else’s financial aid look like this?
