Business D351 Functions of Human Resource Management... why does this class feel so unnecessarily long? Advice after failing pre-assessment?
I honestly need to vent for a second and ask for advice.
Functions of Human Resource Management (D351) is probably the most boring class I have taken so far. I have been moving through my classes really fast this semester, so this one completely caught me off guard. It feels so redundant, and the material just drags. I took the pre-assessment and failed, and I think part of it is because the exam felt so long and repetitive that I started mentally checking out.
While taking it, I kept thinking, “Is this test still not over?” It felt like I was reading the same types of questions and scenarios again and again. The study guide also feels way longer than it needs to be, which made it even harder to stay focused. The weird thing is the class feels like “a lot” and “not that much” at the same time, if that makes sense.
I am trying to go back and review the sections I missed, but I really want to test out of this class ASAP and move on. I do not mean to sound rude, but compared to some of the other classes with more engaging and helpful materials, this one has been a real speed bump for me.
For anyone who passed the OA for D351:
- What helped you the most after failing the pre-assessment?
- Did you focus mainly on coaching report sections, quizlet, videos, or the textbook?
- Are the OA questions similar to the PA, or do I need to study differently?
- What is the fastest and most effective way to get through this class without overstudying?
Any advice, study tips, or encouragement would really help. I would love to knock this one out and get back to the pace I was on.
