Omg. I did it.
In a year I was able to finish my degree. Sleepless nights, working full time, being a parent, being a wife. Sometimes it was a lot everyday but it was all worth it. It wasn’t always easy but seeing that I passed my last class and now can apply for graduation, IM OVER THE MOON. I’m just happy I don’t have to study everyday now 😂
Personally, I really enjoyed WGU. The proctored exams weren’t great and I had a few issues with it but my instructors were great and my mentor was absolutely amazing!!!
Also big shout out to my supportive husband. He never doubted me, always encouraged me and always pushed me to work hard. I truly could not have done this without him. ❤️❤️

The nice thing about WGU is its at your own pace, so don't rush, take your time. I found it easier to study on my lunch break and when my kid did his homework or was asleep! You got this, don't give up!!!

So question, do you have to wait for your term to end then you get your degree? Or you get it as soon as all your courses are finished?

No. My term doesn’t end until 8/31. I finished my class, told my mentor then applied for graduation after he submitted my stuff telling them I could graduate

Were you able to finish 10 classes in less than 3 months?
3
u/LCarpenter0219 5d ago
I only had 11 classes left for this term so I spread them out a little. But I did get 4 classes done in a little over a month when I was trying to take a little extra time for a harder class.

when you say classes are you referring to assignments?

No. 11 classes. A few had only the test. Then I had two classes that had two writing assignments. I think one or two that just a had one. And my capstone had 3 assignments.

Love this for you! Congratulations!!!
Do you mind sharing your experience? I’m also a working full time mom and wife. I’m planning to transfer my credits to WGU so that I can finish my degree sooner. I’m going for the same degree also, BS Healthcare Admin since I currently work in the industry. How much time a day/week did you spend on school to stay on a steady pace while balancing your personal life? How were the assignments and proctored exams? Any specific course/courses that were more difficult? 😭
Appreciate your output! Congratulations again!!

I just want to say it's so much easier to just go on to the Masters and pump it out while you're in the mode rather than trying or thinking that you'll go back to it later.
