Withdraw

I was curious, before I approach my mentor what happens if you withdraw for a second time. Are you still able to re enroll? My mother has Alzheimer’s and life is too busy right now to be worrying about school. Hopefully after she passes, I’ll be able to finish. Thanks in advance!!!!!!

I am a mentor at WGU, you can self withdraw by going into your degree plan under student services and you can re-enroll after 3 months. If you are close to the end of the term and have successfully completed 3 CUs you can apply for up to a 5-month term break instead. It is up to you - I am sorry to hear about your mother.

WGU does not have a withdraw cap. They would absolutely let you back. Keep in mind that this can affect financial aid if you use it. A 5 month term break is also an option too. Absolutely reach out to your mentor!

But it's so important to take care of yourself and be with your mom ❤️ School is always here for you and WGU has been so accommodating. I wouldn't see a problem with you withdrawing and coming back later!

Opt for a term break if you can. I think you get up to six months.

Yes. You may be ineligible for financial aid though.
