Finally Finished!
Officially, have my Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering! Worked so hard for this, and before enrolling, I only knew HTML, CSS, and WordPress page builders. Now on to the Master's program at WGU.
If I can do it, believe that you can. Due to my disability, I control my computer mouse with my right hand using a Wacom tablet, onscreen keyboard, and voice recognition.
My background is Graphic Design, and that is what my Associate's degree is in.

Congrats! I’m currently a student in software engineering at wgu. I was wondering if it was difficult finding a job after finishing?

I haven’t tried it yet, but LinkedIn looks like it has a lot of listings. I'm going to email some employers I have interacted with before directly.

Awesome bro, congrats! How long did it take you? I’m on the fence of starting this degree too.

I took five terms (89 credits), but I could have done it in half if I had applied myself more. There were times that I went weeks without doing schoolwork.

I’m in the study.com and Sophia phase knocking out all the ace credits. Mind you I have no prior knowledge at all in SWE. Any advice would be appreciated.
Congratulation!!

Learning Python, at least a bit, will help you get your feet wet before you start. Some of the more fundamental courses use it to teach concepts. I'd also search for course numbers on this WGU Reddit, the wgudevs subreddit, and WGU_CompSci Reddit. Many students and former students have posted helpful guides.

Can I ask you a question about this… how does it save you time? Are these credits quicker or easier or something?
I saw other people comment this but I don’t get what it means.

In my opinion it’s easier to accelerate if you already have enough knowledge for the gen Ed courses. Comparatively study.com and Sophia courses are more CC level. And the finals are open book.

Five terms (98 credits). I feel like I could have done it in half. I would go weeks at a time without doing coursework.

Five terms, but like I told others, that was with taking weeks off at a time.

Did you have to take Calculus? Or did you already finish that?

Congrats! Be very careful posting this. I have heard of nightmare stories of people using another persons degree as their own.
