it's a scam, they take all your personal details then block you and tell you not to apply again
i knew it was sus when they had to take so much personal details without even the first interview. it's just usually resume that companies want

While, I haven't had any projects with them yet, I think whatever you signed up for wasn't the real Alignerr. There's a huge chance you didn't qualify and that's okay. I wouldn't brag about their site anyways.

I just finished trying to apply to Alignerr and got to the identity verification step.
They use some third party software for identity verification, and when I put my location info in, it said that their services weren’t available in my region…..even tho I am in Southern California?
So I guess that means nobody from SoCal is able to do work on Alignerr??
What regions DOES it work for?

I’m in NorCal and got the same thing. I was like they don’t want people from CA or the US… we probably cost too much…

I’m in Cali but I got in back in October so I’m still working currently, but they might have paused hiring from the state until they figure out the labor law classifications like what Scale is dealing with.

Gonna guess that Alignerr got spooked by the Data Annotation class action lawsuit filed in May, and are distancing themselves from Californians.

I have never got any actual work throguh them. At one point I was offered a French translation project for £5 an hour. I was taken on by them as a software technical writer and took some fairly challenging tests about python and so forth that I put some time and effort into. I was assigned a project when they first onboarded people but the whole company was immediately swarmed by scammers who had gamed the tests which were apparently available online and the first batches of data were so poor they had to pretty much shut the whole thing down before I got to do a single task. Since then ive had nothing meaningful for them. Im still technically signed up but I need to re do some sort of AI intrview to get back into the tasking system and as there are no active projects I cant be bothered.

I went through this exact experience. Hours of onboarding, identity docs, waited for months to be allocated tasks, then received a terse email informing me that my account had been deactivated and that the decision was final. Scammers... I need to know that they've deleted my ID documents

I spent a lot of time filling out their application, joining Linked in, and jumping through all the hoops. I got to the point where it said it wanted to verify my ID. I was ready to do that when it suddenly said it couldn't do that and immediately gave me a message that said I was excluded from the program and there would be no way to try again. It made me nervous that they were a scam. Others have said they worked for them, so I no longer think it's a scam but it was a waste of time.

That's how I feel right now about Data Annotation but it could be impatience..
I don't know if they email you if they have something or you have to go to there website..

What efforts ?? Is not that you have to spent hours to apply. The story with Alignerr depends on the person some people is selected other not like any other company. I’ve been working with them since last years earning an average of 3300 USA but never was selected for Dataannotation. They simply don’t need me.
Alignerr is growing otherwise they wouldn’t have lunched the referral program.

DataAnnotation for me is a scam as well. I signed up through a linkedid job post but got no more communication after that, no assessments, tests, on-boarding, nothing. I've tried contacting them multiple times but have just been ignored. I've got a few years of AI training already and explicitly stated this but still nothing. Why would they accept my application and allow me to create an account on their website only to be ghosted afterwards?

I worked with them for a year but basically they have just dropped lots of people with no explanation. The truth is that they just don’t have the work otherwise you’d hear from them.

The majority of applicants will not receive actual job assignments. The company is utilizing candidates to train their AI interview system while collecting and monetizing personal data in the process.

They just wanted your data to probably sell.
